Inclusive Practices for Neurodevelopmental Research

Abstract Purpose of Review Inclusive research practice is both a moral obligation and practical imperative. Here we review its relevance to the study neurodevelopmental diversity in particular, briefly describing range inclusive models justifying their use. The itself inclusively co-authored with three autistic collaborators community leaders who all have extensive experience involvement. Recent Findings Drawing on theoretical arguments specific exemplar projects, describe six key considerations delivery research. These are following: taking first steps towards practice; setting expectations; community-specific inclusion measures; intersectionality; role empowerment; knowledge exchange for inclusion.
